I accepted a request on Oct. 27 and indicated I would mail within 2 days. I put the book in the big blue mailbox  on time, but didn't get back on line until the 30th, so now my account says it was marked mailed on Oct. 30 (BTW, I actually had until Nov. 1 to mark it mailed before it cancelled out.) Will I get in trouble, since it looks like I mailed it AFTER the two day window, which would have been Oct. 29? I'm getting pretty comfortable with this site, but I still worry about doing things on time and in the correct way. (I think next time, I'll choose "I CAN MAIL LATER" just to give me a little breathing space.)

Thanks for any answers to this.

Hi Carolyn, You are fine. The system does give a grace period.  Things dont' actually get complicated unless you miss the mailing date (including grace) entirely and the transaction gets canceled.

Thanks! That's a major relief. Now, if only I could get my credit card companies to give me such a nice grace period. Those jokers hit you with a $39 late fee if they get the payment after 3 p.m. (or earlier sometimes) on the due date -- even when I pay on line.

That's why we all hang out here... instead of at our credit card company's site!

I just wanted to add, I always choose "Can Mail Later" to add a cushion. I usually mail within 2 days but just in case life happens when I have other plans.
