This book made me love Nan Ryan, holy heck is this steamy. Kinda of whorey for the times but hey they didnt have media back then who knows right? It's a little unpredicatable and while the "maiden" shows a decent amount of stupidity, none of the other characters do. The hotness doesn't just revolve around the main characters which I really like because hey we are all living breathing sexual creatures aren't we? Her man has a fetish for ghetto booty, meow.. Anyway if you like steamy to the point where you may not be able to read it in front of others LOL this is a good one for ya..

A Countess and a Creole rogue in 1800s New Orleans. Lots of intrigue, nefarious deals, and romance. Great historical romance!
As the mighty ocean liner sank to its watery grave, two strangers boldly savored their final moments by making passionate love. Matching the raging hurrican outside with her own white-hot abandon,Countess Madeleine Cavendish willingly surrendered herself to the devilishly handsome Creole rogue-never dreaming of a fate worse than death.Never dreaming she'd survive.
As their ocean liner slowly sinks, the proper Countess Madeleine Cavendish and the roguish Armand de Chevalier--two strangers, believing that they are about to die--make passionate love, never expecting to survive the disaster, only to be reunited amid the glitter of New Orleans high society.
A MUST-READ! That is all I can say about this book!
I really enjoyed this book. Another nan ryan favorite.
