Teachers must love what they do to be effective. Palmer opens his heart to the reasons of why he teaches, confirms that we all have bad days and proves that being passionate about your subject and your students will yield gifts beyond belief. All teachers should read this, regardless of the type of student you teach. This book doesn’t rank a five because it is heavy on the philosophy/theory side and is slow to read in several areas but the instruction given far overshadows this flaw.
