An interesting story. This is a unique twist on a historical event, theorizing what would have or may have happened to Custer had he survived that last battle. The theme of the book is debating whether Custer was really a hero, or a glory-seeker / fame-seeker that unnecessarily led troops into dangerous situations.

back cover - If Custer had lived to stand trial, would he have revealed himself a military genius who had made an understandable mistake? Or a glory-seeker who recklessly risked his men's lives?
