She's not your type, Line told himself.
But he recognized this feeling he had deep down inside: he was starting up with Kansas Daye whether she was his type or not.
What he didn't understand was why. Kansas was fresh-faced and bright as a spring day.
She was also his late wife's kid sister.
And the kind of woman a man didn't mess with unless he was looking for a relationship. And Line wasn't, damn those big green eyes of hers.
A challengemaybe that's what Kansas was. A challenge to get past that controlled surface and find out if there was a hot spring beneath it. Because Line was betting there was. He was tetting that if he kissed her full on the mouth, le'd taste a little of it.
damn it to hell, he wanted to. Real bad.
