I'm thinking we do a cozy every 6 weeks or so.   That way we all have time to read other things.  I'm a slow reader and need time to read all I want.

But back to what we should read in Nov.    I chose the first,  the second was by vote.  Does anyone have a good cozy to recommend?  The book doesn't need to have recipes......

Deb, I created a new list with books that have plenty of copies in the system.  Here

Feel free to add and vote.

Thanks.  Although any of them is fine by me, I voted for those that interested me most.  I figure we'll leave it open til Oct l and dscuss Nov l.

Voting is going to close in a couple of days.  Anyone want to do another cozy discussion in November?  See previous post for the link to the voting list.

I'm in for the next cozy discussion Deb & Carole.  Love cozies, have read many.  I'd like to post my suggestion of "Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter" by Blaize Clement (#1 in her Dixie Hemingway mystery series).  However, I don't know how to find out if there are plenty in the system.  Would you be able to guide me through the process please?

I won't vote for a series book that I haven't read the very first one before going on to any of the others...my memory isn't that long anymore!  LOL

Hope you're having a beautiful weekend gals!

Sandy

If you add the book to your reminder list it will show you how many are in the system. Don't forget the other versions too if there aren't a while bunch.

It looks like there's 7 copies of the cat sitter book in the system.

I added one to the list. There's 5 copies in the system but I already have one. It's not the first in the series but it's the first one of the series that I read and it made me fall in love with Nero Wolfe. The books aren't dependant on each other, it doesn't matter what order you read them in. Nero Wolfe is an unusual character with a lot of quirks but they are written so he's pretty easy to understand from any individual book. The list needed some testosterone, that's my biggest issue with the genre - too many women!

As Barb said, gype in the book name, then add it to your reminder list and it will tell you how many copies are available.   Easy Peasy and I'm not in the least bit technical.laugh

Thanks Barb and Deb...will do!

Did it...shows on the list, but no "vote" button...sheesh!  It can't be that hard right?!  Don't give up on me...I'm recovering from surgery (last Wed.) and for some dang reason I'm just goin' kinda slow.

Hope you are better soon, Sandy.  Just to make it a little more clear, you cannot vote for a book you add, you can only vote for ones others have added.  So we know you already voted for the one you added, since you added it.

Of the books I added, four are the first one of a series.  I also like to read series in order.

So, the upshot is, vote for all the books you are willing to read (that you haven't added yourself).  Then, we will find out which one has the widest appeal.

Can we get a check in here as to how many people are going to join this month?

There wasn't much of a turn out Carrot Cake Murders.

Depends on the book chosen, but it looks like I am in as the voting list stands right now.

Happy Saturday gals!  I found a blogsite that you might be interested in checking out...http://www.cozy-mystery.com/blog

She also has a website dedicated to listing the various cozy mystery authors and their works.

Was fun to browse.

Me too Carole...I picked up some paperbacks yesterday and couldn't figure out if they were the first in the series (all cozies)...checked on here and couldn't find them so I googled and found a few sites, but liked that one the best.

Hope your weekend is going well!

On What Grounds looks like the winner......how many of you are up reading this book?  We would read it for discussion beginning Nov 15.

I would read this.

I'm thinking three isn't much of a discussion.  Let's try again in January.
