New Yahoo Group to check out for you crafters.

The main focus of this group is to provide hand crafted items to charity, but of course online fellowship is highly encouraged through chatting, humor, craft discussion (both personal and charitable), and prayer request.

No matter your craft, whether it be crocheting, quilting, knitting, sewing, embroidery  or something else.  No matter your skill level (from cutting/making squares to advanced level work).  If  you have a desire to help others through your hobby, this is the group for you.

There are so many people that can use a donated items and even more importantly the hope and love that comes with it, that our focus will not be on one specific charity, but many.  Projects can be worked on individually or coordinated as a group.  Charitable organizations listed will be on not only a national level, but a local one as well.  (Local meaning – local to our group members).

Please note: Our links page is open to the public.   All are welcome to check there for charities that can use your homemade items!

We will accept donations of craft materials (yarn, fabric, thread, patterns, designs, batting, etc) and these will be passed on to group members for use in charity projects.

I hope you will join us!

However

A couple of advantages of joining are that you get access to the files section which has printable info on the charities and once you sign up in the member database a search is done to add your local charities.

If anyone runs across patterns that are free and can be used for CHARITABLE purposes, please pass them along to me (with a link if possible) as our group is always looking for them.

Patterns can be crochet, quilt, cross stitch, knit, etc.

AND

Calling all Embroidery Digitizers:

If you have a design that you have digitized and are willing to allow our group use for free  for CHARITABLE purposes, I would be most grateful.   Any design will do as our group serves many, many charities. Please contact me if you can help.

Please check out our homepage for a little more info on us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CaringHeartsCharityCrafters/ .

Please note:  Our links page is open to the public but our files section is NOT and this is where we would keep your design.

Thank you in advance,

Natalie
