I've read the entire series and have enjoyed every one.
Like the others, the book follows Jake through a tough case and gives a good taste of police work in a small city in Minnesota. The characters are well developed, and the book moves along and is a pleasure to read.

in small town minnesota,
Jake and his wife Trudy deal with crime on their jobs, and thier HUGE garden in their spare time.
the court scenes seemed never ending.. but there was a reason to include them that paid off in the end.
