Mable Hoffman Crockery books are always good. So are the Fix It and Forget It series.

My wal-marts had the whole series of fix-it and forget it.

they are great.

for fix ahead tips put everything in a ziplock the night before then dump it in the pot the next Am and even a 4 hour recipe can be 6 or more since the cold has to warm up to cooking temp. Better yet fix up different meals when you come home from the grocery shopping put my meals into the ziplocks and then in the freezer. instant meals .
