Such a wonderful and compelling read. Theologically, it speaks to a strong Christian faith in some of the main characters, and who knows if any of the author's speculations through his main character on the "in-between" afterlife are correct? I loved the way the main character was developed through a first person glimpse at the beginning of his present selfish and paranoid life and a much larger view of his formative life experiences through his thoughts and words during his coma after a serious health crisis. It's very inventive the way he is able to communicate through others even while he is in a deep coma. The premise of healing, emotionally and physically, is developed quite well. And throughout, I'm not quite sure how it will end. This is a rarity for me, so I enjoyed reading it very much.

It took me a while to get involved in this book but once I did I loved it! It is certainly different than most books and is not supposed to be a true story. However, it has a lot of good analogies and lessons to be learned! It is a touching story and has some parts that are very humourous and others will bring tears to your eyes! I wish I had written down parts that really struck me.

Good Book

It's a good book about a man in a coma and meats Jesus and the Holy Spirit in his heart. The book is a lot like The Shack, but The Shack is better.

I have not read The Shack by this same author, but I really did like this book. An interesting premise with a lot of lessons to remind people of and great characters. I was surprised by the ending however. Overall, a good book.
