Search - Crossing the Line

This is the first book I've read by Mrs. Layton...and I actually ENJOYED it...the mystery/suspense and DANGER surrounding Nick and Raina throughout DEFINITELY keeps me on the edge of my seat...and oh, YES, Nick is a TOTAL jerk in the beginning...however, he grows on me as the story progresses...and Ms. Raina is UNBELIEVABLY a "jack-of-all-trades"...LOL...she is RIDICULOUSLY good at just about everything she does (yeah, right?!!)...several of the secondary characters get on my LAST NERVE throughout...but the budding relationship between Nick and Raina is TOUCHING once they FINALLY stop fighting their attraction...and I was CAUGHT UP in their HEATED and at times comical verbal sparring...at times I LOL, teared-up, sighed, cheered and even shouted a few yeah right throughout...but overall the suspense keeps me CAPTIVATED 'til the end...I'll be keeping an eye out for more of Mrs. Layton's work.

Contained a few inconsistencies but in all it was a nice love story with a non-too-suspenseful escape from a serial killer.
