Humanity has finally begun to colonize distant planets. But Jake Holman and his ship of colonists were completely unprepared for what they found on the world they planned to settle: sentient alien life. The soon found themselves caught in the crossfire of a galaxy-spanning war between two disparate species: aggressive, milataristic humanoids known as Furs and passive, plantlike creatures known as Vines.
