Linda C. (Seagull) reviewed Cupid's Revenge (Camerons of Colorado, Bk 4) (Harlequin Superromance, No 788) on
Standing in front of the kissing booth was a beautiful stranger--so cool and in control. In an instant Jason knew he'd love to be the one who fractured that control.
Beside him, his sister stirred. "May we help you?"
Jason never took his attention off the woman before him. "It's only obvious," he said solemnly, "She's afraid she missed her chance."
Then he gathered her in his arms and kissed her.He felt the thrill all the way to his toes. He wanted to stand there kissing her for the foreseeable future, but if he didn't call this off fast, he was going to lose the humor of the situation.
So he stood her up straight again, lifted his mouth reluctantly from hers. She blinked as if she wasn't sure quite what had happened.
"Honey," Jason said, "that kiss was way too nice to charge you for it." Digging around in his pocket, he pulled out a five-dollar bill and dropped it in the coffee can. "My treat," he announced. (front page)
