I have been #1 for a book for over two years.  A copy was posted and mailed to me last summer but it wasn't a postable copy---pages were torn, stained and water damaged.  Another copy was finally posted on Saturday and accepted by me (set on auto-accept).  Now it looks like it might time out since it's still waiting for the other member to accept the request.  *sigh*    I'm wondering if it's not meant to be for me to get this book.

I have one like that too...it hasn't been on my WL for that long, but it has been over a year. A copy was posted to the system about six months ago, but the request timed out. Same thing just happened last week...accepted, a label (with DC!) was printed, and then the order canceled. No explanation.

Ah well...it's not like I don't have umpteen gazillion other books to read or anything. :o)

I don't understand why people would take the time to post a WL book and then not follow up on it.  That is strange.  It's possible that they don't know it's a WL book but surely they would check back once in a while or at least check their emails.

I don't know either...I've had a fair number of wishlist books posted that then just sat and timed out. I think that happens quite a lot with new folks who don't read how the site works, they post a bunch of books to get their 2 free credits and never follow through with sending books that are requested of them. At least that seemed to have been the case with the last few...they were PBS virgins who signed up the same day or just a day or two before the book was posted and then you never hear from them again.

Still no response.  It times out tomorrow afternoon.  Bummer.  I really wish all members would check their accounts and/or email regularly.  I understand that there are occasions when it's not possible (internet issues, weather-related issues, unexpected personal issues), but those are generally few and far between.  Oh well.  Lisa, it's "Prince of Spies" by Bianca D'Arc.

I have had a few do that too. There are some people who post a WL book and wait till literally the last minute to click that they did something with the book....such as mail it! I also have 3 cagillion book I can read too.

It got accepted a few hours ago.  Of course the member also chose the very last mail date option, too.
