the 5 I read are better in order though I read the last one first by accident.

cant remember with lost highways and driving lessons but one comes first because the one in the first is preggers in the 2nd and these 2 take place before 3 more (there may be others between these but I didnt'/don't know)

cold tea on a hot day/at the corner of love and heartache(something like this!) then recipes for easy living follows the same couple/storyline. after reading these 3 I picked up the first 2 I mentioned and realized they were in the same town

I LOVED Cold Tea on a Hot Day and have been meaning to read the sequel for some time now.  I think I've been putting it off in the fear that it won't be as good as Cold Tea.  Does that make sense?

Anyway, Cold Tea on a Hot Day is part of the Valentine, TX series and it probably makes sense to read that series in order.    I know that at least some of the books, such as Cold Tea and Corner of Love and Heartache, should definitely be read in order.   The order is:

Valentine
1. Lost Highways (1999)
2. Driving Lessons (2000)
3. Cold Tea on a Hot Day (2001)
4. At the Corner of Love and Heartache (2002)
5. Recipes for Easy Living (2003)
6. Sweet Dreams at the Goodnight Motel (2004)
7. Chin Up, Honey (2009)
