Hi...I like this idea. Right now, I only have two credits. I haven't been able to read much to post books but if someone would like to give me a credit, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Thanks again.

You can't ask for credits for yourself in this forum.  I thought you were doing something nice for people but it seems you were really only looking out for yourself and trying to bypass the rules of the forum.  You can only ask for credits for yourself (which are meant to be repaid) in the Book Bazaar.  Shame on you.

Well I am sorry Ani! I did not know these were rules! A simple "Please don't do this" would have worked for me. So, shame on you. Sorry to everyone else!  Didn't know this was against the rules! Forgive me! I will refund the credit given to me from Melissa B. And I was trying to be nice, not looking out for myself Ani! Excuse me for being accused for something I didn't know about! Before you accuse someone Ani, make sure you have something to actually accuse them of with the proper proof that they meant to do it on purpose! Continue everyone!

According to PBS rules: Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or use the PBS Kiosk to purchase (emphasis mine).

I stumbled across this thread because I like helping people. When I read your original post, I thought this is a good thing.  It's NOT someone asking for credits for themselves but to help out others.  But then you posted (which has since been removed) something along the lines of, "I started this thread and no one is offering me any credits".  That's what I called you on.  I'm sorry you didn't understand the rules here.  People have had their accounts closed for asking for credits here.  It's all right to ask for a loan in the Book Bazaar forum, however.

You must have read wrong, I didn't mean that because I opened this I deserve a credit, I meant it was kinda funny that I posted this and now I could use some credits. I wasn't demanding some.

Credits can be purchased in the kiosk and book bazaar (much cheaper) if you need some. You can also mail a book to earn a credit. But you cannot ask for a credit on PBS anywhere. You can ask to borrow a credit in the book bazaar forum.

(You might want to delete your post where you are asking for the credits.)

It's sad that there is not another forum where credits can be shared- for some persons have an abundance and would be glad to do that and some persons need some- ????maybe in the Random Acts of Kindness Forum it could be considered by the administrators??? - because that is a give-away forum with no money and no return favors needed for the Random Acts of Kindness given. I believe Jane F meant well and had a nice idea- and she mentions that she did not know the rules about posting to borrow a credit in the Book Bazaar only.  We all need grace here and no one should feel bad for new ideas if they did not intentionally break the rules. Thanks for this discussion!  Blessings to all!

As overseer of the RAOK threads this month, I apologize for coming late to this discussion.  With thanks to everyone who had good intentions with regard to their fellow PBSers, the rules are nevertheless very clear about credits.  They can only be traded (offered, given, bought, sold, requested, etc) in the Book Bazaar.  As far as what can be traded (etc) in the RAOK threads, please see the first post in the I Wish, I Wish thread for details which apply to all areas of PBS generally, as well as to the RAOK threads specifically.

It's always a joy to see how many people here are thinking of others and sharing what they can, and I appreciate you all for caring enough to join in.  I'm always amazed by the many, many ways that people here will help each other out.  There are only a very few rules, but they must be honored.  Please, can we remember the spirit in which this forum operates, and let this discussion stop now?  If anyone has more to say, then kindly PM me directly.  (I will respond during non-working hours.)  Thank you all.
