I just wanted to share the wonderful news, that my 4 yo ds accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour on Sunday! He has had the head knowledge of salvation for a very long time, but had never been convicted about his personal need for it until Sunday night. We have not wanted to push him into an empty confession, and have patiently waited for the Holy Spirit's leading, which can be very difficult to do.
At the end of Sunday evening's service, he watched one of his friends get baptized, and he turned to his dad, with tears rolling down his face, that he needed to get saved. My husband took him to the altar, and went through the plan of salvation with him again, and he trusted in Jesus. When he went to tell Pastor about his decision, he asked Pastor if he could also get baptized. So our dear Pastor had everyone called back into the sanctuary (church had already been dismissed) to watch our son get baptized.
Our 5 yo ds was very excited to see his little brother get saved and baptized. He has been praying for his salvation at least once a day since he got saved almost a year and a half ago.
When we were getting in our van to leave, my ds once again became emotional as he stated that he needed to tell others how to get saved so that they wouldn't have to go to hell. He's already thinking like a soulwinner!
Thanks for listening.
