Why is the Daily Digest disabled and when will it be back?

Can someone please let us know what is wrong with the daily digest and if/when it will be fixed? Anything would be better than just leaving us in the dark about it.

Since the site was redesigned it is the only reason I come here anymore. The site is too slow and inconsistent to bother with otherwise.
