It slices, it dices! So how much would you pay? But don't answer because wait, there's MORE!

Uhs. Sorry. Wrong review. My bad.

This book is exactly like the show. Except I can take it into my bathroom and have a nice look without all the wires and risk of electrocution. It really is like reading the history of the country in a way that both informs you and makes you giggle like a girl in the tub without the fear of electrocution.

Also I can guarantee it's the most informative book about American Democracy Inaction that has the all nude Supreme Court review! Don't worry though, their clothes are conviently placed on the next page. For modesty's sake i'm sure.

So all in all I give it a good five thumbs up.

if you can appreciate the humor of jon stewart and stephen colbert you will love this textbook style ingenius look at politics. it doesn't just lean towards the left. no one is safe from the bashing, that most subjects do deserve. you will want to pick it up over and over again. i do!

Not as good as the show, but along much the same lines. Definitely an amusing overview of our form of government and how it works. If you like the show, you should like this. If you don't like the show, why are you even looking at the book?

I am a huge fan of Jon Stewart like many of my generation. Stewart's (and his team) particular brand of satire is well crafted and insightful. That talent shines brightest in the last two chapters of the book where he outlines the possible future for America and the world. (Will we become the pets of our robotic overlords or our Chinese overlords?)

Stewart has a fantastic delivery that can only be partially appreciated in print. Because of this, some of the jokes in this book can feel predictable or stale, a Mel Brooks brand of funny which was much funnier 15 years ago.

Jon Stewart and friends are a daily staple of mine. I will continue to watch his show and plan to read whatever he cares to put out because like all good satire, his contains disturbing elements of truth.

Very funny satire of the history of our democracy. I would have rated it higher except for the textbook style, which I didn't care for. It was also very crude in spots, and absolutely nothing is sacred including the founders of our country. It was very funny but did bother me a little. Overall, it was pretty entertaining.

Best. Book. Ever.

I really enjoy the audio version of this! The different voices add a lot of fun to the experience. And this is a great way to bring some light-headed silliness to a subject that can be quite boring at times.

I think a lot of the cussing is rather unnecessary, but it's easy enough to gloss over that and it doesn't detract much at all from the rest.

This book on CD is hilarious. I listen to it in the car and it makes my commute seem so short! Very entertaining, just like a long episode of the Daily Show.

A humorous presentation of history. One who takes history as a very serious subject may not like this but who would order the cd if they know the Daily Show.

I've left it in the teacher's lounge on the table devoted to curriculum development, no takers yet.

Nothing unexpectedly funny. Maybe a step up from bathroom humor.

Not all that funny, in my opinion. Mildly amusing, but gets too close to the truth in places, and it descends into bathroom humor too often. Oh well.
