I enjoyed the DAKOTA series, and although some of the storyline was predictable, it was enjoyable getting to know the characters and the charm of the small farming community. . . . however there isn't a Macomber book that I have not enjoyed, whatever that is worth.

excellent book. I love all the characters and can relate to them. It is a town you would love to live in. Friends you would want to have. This is the second in a series and anxiously waiting the third.

I would actually give this book a 2 1/2 rating if I could. The first book in this series, "Dakota Born", was much better. That one was good enough for me to request this one. Unfortunately this book was disappointing. It was hundreds of pages of buildup, then the resolution of it was only alluded to in the past tense, in maybe three sentences. VERY anti-climatic. Even though I read the first two books of the series, this one was disappointing enough that not only will I not be reading the third in the series, but I think I will spend my time reading other authors.

This was another good read. I went on to read the 3rd book and just love Debbie Macomber books.
