I was recently offered a book from my WL and accepted it.  I just received an email from PBS telling me the book wouldn't be mailed because the sender realized it was damaged while wrapping it.  I wouldn't mind receiving it ( and not forwarding to someone else) because the book was highly recommended to me.  However, there is no way to contact this sender.  There are no ther copies of this book available.  Any thoughts?

If the request was cancelled (and not denied due to a requestor condition), you can find the transaction and PM the member from your transaction archive under your account tab.

I looked in the Transaction Archive before, but did not look under "cancelled by sender".  Thanks for your help.  I PM'd her and hope it works out.

I just wanted to point out to anyone who was not clear how this would work - This transaction would be conducted outside the PBS system. That is, normally a sender would post directly to your WL and it would become an official transaction. But in this case, because the book is unpostable, you will need to send her a credit and just give her your address; she will simply make up a label (and postage) to send the book to you without generating a request ID.

They can use the Mail to a Friend option to generate the label.

Were you able to get the book?

Yes, I received the book today.  It actually is in very good condition.  I wouldn't have considered it a RWAP.
