I am new to this so I was wondering if any one could explain the damed books for free thing that is posted in red at the top of the page?

Most of the information is in the first post of the thread. You can also PM Amanda with questions. Basically the thread was established as a kind of ROAK thread. Only free books can offered there, no credits can be asked for in exchange for the books. It is a place where people can offer books they just want to find a new home for. If you see something you want, PM the poster to see if it is still available and if it is you can send them your address.  If you have books you want to offer for free, post your list and any other information like if you want to send the all to one place or send in groups of so many books or anything like that.
