I really enjoyed this book by Molly Ivans. Though she wrote it during the Clinton years, some of the politicians she writes about are still in existance today...and still doing the same 'things' they were doing when she wrote this book. A lot of people may not like Ms. Ivins, but she does her homework and it shows.

I listened to this Feb. of '08, and still didn't find it outdated. The events are in the past, yes, but is was still hilarious and informative.

Ivins' outrageous humor and biting wit are largely absent in this collection of columns as she hammers on the pernicious effect of modern campaign financing. It is only when she turns to word pictures of people she knew and admired (or, in the case of Richard Nixon, knew and definitely did not admire) that her fine acerbic talent is showcased.
