I often share books with friends but this is one that I keep for myself to go back to from time to time. I won't reiterate what all of the other reviewers said. I will only say this, I have a hard time finding other writers who can compare to Rosemary Rogers when she creates such a level of passion and tension among the main characters (at times borderline hateful)yet it is done in a way that you almost jump up and say, "Yes!! Finally!!" at the end of the book even though her endings are never sappy-sweet. I admit that some of RR's books are hit or miss. Either you love 'em or hate 'em but mostly I end up loving them. When I see her name on a cover, I have to make sure I have a long stretch of time ahead of me before picking up the book because I can never seem to put the book down despite having pressing real-life responsibilities to attend to. Rosemary Rogers is in a class of her own. They just do not make books like hers these days.
