Ms Hamilton's first 6 books were all action packed with some anticipated romance but after that each consecutive books is more and more erotic. Anita Blake is a facinating character and all of the "men" that surround her are sexy and each very irresistible in their own way.
I would have preferred that the writing be less erotic and more adventure in the later books but I'm hooked and have to find out what happens.
