I love the humor that this author slips in her books.

I enjoyed MacGregor's Fellowhip of the sword series the best so far of her works. A Dark Champion is full of intrigue with vivid characters. Great read.

A good summer romance! Enjoyable.
This is an enjoyable addition to the series. Check in with your favorite characters and enjoy the story!
Kinley MacGregor aka Sherrilyn Kenyon is such an amazing author! This is book #2 of her "Brotherhood of the Sword" series, which also ties into "The MacAllisters" series.
Stryder is one of my favorites, and I recommend this book to anyone with a heartbeat!

A great story. One of my favorites. I would read again.
another fantastic read!! MacGregor is a new favorite of mine!
Another great MacGregor/Kenyon book! This one tells Stryder's (The Widowmaker) story.
Fearless men, their allegiance is to one another, to the oppressed, and to the secret society known as the Brotherhood of the Sword—and they must never surrender to the passionate yearnings of their noble hearts.
A Lady of Love
Beautiful, peace-loving Rowena knows that Stryder of Blackmoor is a warrior, and is therefore a man to be shunned.
But something burns in the eyes of this powerful knight that she has never seen in others of his kind: a tenderness, and a need to love and be loved. Yet to enter his world would be madness—against every principle by which she has lived her life—so she must resist the yearning that would draw her into his arms.
A Man of War
Duty bound to battle for right, Stryder has never desired the comforts of home and hearth—until he gazed upon the exquisite face and form of the incomparable Rowena. He dares not succumb to her sensuous charms, for Stryder is a man sworn to know no love. But when treachery and danger threaten, the noble knight must stand as the unsuspecting lady's champion—though his actions could cost him his honor, his heart. . . and his forbidden dream of happiness.

Excellent book! Stryder of Blackmoor, the ultimate hero, is unwillingly paired with Rowena, the Lady of Love and ultimate medieval hippie. LOL! While he's out making war against all who would take advantage of anyone weaker, she's making music and singing out against knights and war, and trying to rally everyone to make love not war.
loved it. was the first by this author, but I really enjoyed it
The beautiful Rowena detests war and all who fight it - and would never allow a knight like Stryder of Blackmoor into her heart. But even the renowned Lady of Love needs a champion...

This is a very good book.
Stryder's book.
Beautiful but naive lady Rowena has developed a reputation as a man hater for denouncing war, and especially the knights that fight them. Until she meets her hard-headed match Stryder, and learns the true meaning of the price that has been paid for the freedoms that she unthankfully enjoys. Stryder, tormented by years of imprisonment during the crusades is sworn to never open his heart again and spend the rest of his life with his brotherhood defending those who can not defend themselves. Until he meets Rowena and the ice around his hears slowly begins to thaw. You slowly learn the haunted past that makes him so cold towards Rowena in the beginning and that he actually has a much deeper side than anyone knew. This is a well-written book, with plenty of unexpected twists and turns and well-developed characters and story lines. The tension between Rowena and Stryder keeps your attention and even throws in a little humour here an there. All in all a very well written story.
Brotherhood of the Sword and a peace loving beauty clash on what's right for Olde England. Not from a smoke free home, though it has been packed away in a box.
A Brotherhood of the Sword book
Stryder of Blackmoor needs to act as champion to the Lady Rowena--even though she hates anything to do with war or fighting. He begins the Brotherhood that continues into later novels.
