Gee Marion, I haven't received it yet.   I'm #10 on WL---------------unless my "buddy" wants to post it to me!!  Like Sherrilyn Kenyon, as the series goes on the books become off the beaten path.  I am reading "Noah" by Jacquelyn Frank and can't believe how she made the Demon King into a wimp.  Why do these authors do this to a perfectly self-assured man?

I didn't care for it either.  I didn't care for the last one but was hoping it was a fluke.  Nope.   Seems the series needs to come to an end.  I think the only other  story in this series  I may read if it's ever done is Skylar and Dimitri.

Hi To All :)

I too found Dark Curse to be a disapointment.  But it was due more to the lack of closure than anything else.  I thought it was a much better book than Dark Possession, which I truly didn't like at all, but it was definately lacking.  What was it lacking?  An ending!  This book left so many issues up in the air, which I won't mention to avoid spoilers, that I'm convinced there should have been at least another hundred pages or so to make it worthy.  Now that the Dark series has gone over to hard covers and I've been disapointed by them twice I am going to start borrowing them at the library, then purchase them after they come out in paperback.  I am going to continue to collect this series, but they are no longer on my top "gotta have it now" list.

I'm glad I reserved this one from the library instead of buying it after reading what you thought of it.

Wow - I really liked it.  I absolutely hated the last one, so I was hesitant about his one - especially since it released in hard back.  It wasn't perfect, but I think it was well worth the price! To me, this is one of the best she's written in quite awhile. I liked the storyline, the hero/heroine, the way she pulled in previous characters, the new elements she introduced.

I did get a little tired of the constant flashbacks back into Lara's childhood abuse, but I suppose that was fairly pivotal to the storyline.  I like that they made some serious progress on issue of why it's so hard for the babies to survive and I enoyed the elements of magic involved. I especially liked the way the women worked together towards the end.

Is it worth it to read to find out about the the babies? I too hated the last one, but I'd like to find out what happens. Not sure if I'll read, I may have to pm to find out.

Personally, I think so - but then I liked this book. (And I totally, completely, absolutely hated the last one.)
