Hi guys,

Any suggestions for some new books to read? I'm looking for dark fantasy, or fantasy with horror elements. By fantasy I mean sword and sorcery sort of stuff. For example, I really like Ravenloft, but I've read most of them. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans would also be a good example. I also enjoy Diablo, the video game, and while I found the books rather lacking, they were still something to read. Anything in that vein anyone could suggest?

Kim Wilkins.  Very dark lush fantasy.  Not light reading.  She has a series that is based on obscure myths.  The Europa suite.  The first is The Autumn Castle.  Then Giants of the Frost, and The Veil of Gold.

Matthew Cook 's Kirin Widowmaker series is good, about a Necromancer, it was pretty good, and oh so dark :)

Blood Magic (Ballad of Kirin Widowmaker, Bk 1)
Author: Matthew Cook

Nights of Sin (Ballad of Kirin Widowmaker, Bk 2)
Author: Matthew Cook

Most of the other Dark Fantasy that I have read are modern, and you wanted sword and sorcery... but I can recommend more... let me know :)
