This trilogy by Timothy Zahn has that special Star Wars magic. I highly recommend it. These books rekindled the passion for the Star Wars universe in the void between the movie trilogies.

Book 2 in a 3-part series by Timothy Zahn. These books take place in the time right after the Return of the Jedi movie. While the empire has been defeated there are still parts of the empire still in power. Zahn weaves a good story about a pocket of resistance that could possibly overthrow the new republic.

This Star Wars series is by a Hugo Award winning author, much better than the average run of the Star Wars books.

Timothy Zahn is the only approved author of George Lucas. Great story line throughout these three books. They really should have been made into movies.

Thrawn Trilogy is the BEST of the BEST of the post movie Star Wars sagas.

A pretty good book. I Do Not think this book or the trilogy would make a good movie(s). It is quite slow at times with unneeded Starwars political rant. Very few battles and fewer lightsaber uses which seem primary to the fun of Starwars. However, book 3 is the best book in the series in my opinion and picks up the pace. Mara Jade is a cool character.
