A great adventure about four young men from a land called Oriosa whose lives are forever changed when they come upon a legendary weapon that brings the bearer invincibility. The story is full of magic, sorcery, battles and defending ones homeland. I liked it and plan to continue reading the DragonCrown War Cycle Series. I have already read the next book, Fortress Draconis and loved it too!

I didn't care for the way this book was written. It was rather stilted and ponderous. I lasted about 3/4 of the way through, then just gave up. It bored me.
