this is not the end! LJ Smith is writing a new trilogy written in Damon's point of view! the first book was released on Feb 10th 09 and is called Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall. I am so happy about this. I love this series.

This is part 4 of the Vampire Diaries series by L J Smith. Its a wonderful book and I love the characters. L J Smith wrote some great books but seems to have mysteriously dissappeared before finishing some of her other series. But those who do know her work, collect avidly. I will be happy to send you this book if you so choose.

If you like twilight then you will really enjoy The Vampire Diaries Series. I have read the series several times and I become so involved with the characters that I can't put it down! This is a must read!!!

Fairly good books, especially for a young adult novel. Could be appealing to adults. While they aren't as expansive as the Twilight saga, it should be noted that they were written a decade before and that the stories are more dark in nature (death of teenage girls, ghosts, stormy nights, etc..)

This book seems "tacked on" to the first three books. The story isn't as compelling and by now and the lack of character development is a bit disappointing. It is more a Hardy Boys mystery than a vampire book. Still, it does answer a few questions and continues with the original story a bit.

Unlike the 1st three books in the Vampire Diaries series -- this book can stand on its own. You actually don't even need to read the other books before picking this one up. That being said, I would however recommend reading the books in order.

I had a hard time getting into this book. It started off very different than the others in the series. This one is more of a thriller/mystery. I strongly missed the romantic drama that overflowed in the previous books.

Once the story hit the climax, I changed my mind and was sucked in. From that point on it was very engrossing. Overall, it's a great series.

This book is actually a hard cover edition. I found the only ISBN number for it in the order this/and other books. So everything's the same except for that.
