Paul Therouz is a witty, fascinating story teller. I am hooked on his books. This is another one of his travel "journals"; this time through Africa by walking, bus, truck and every other possible method. Meet the Africans, the tourists, the missionaries who live and pass through Africa. A total, "Can't put it down!" book. Wonderful.

A great travel-log of Paul Theroux's overland journey from Cairo to Capetown in 2002. He travels where the tourists do not and leaves you w/ a vivid portrait of Africa today.
