This book is not for the faint of heart. It's dark and cruel and I LOVED IT!
Heroine is a naive virgin debutante and has romanticized her fiance whom she has yet to meet. Well everyone knows about his perverted, dark habits, but her. She finds out when he kidnaps her and forces her to do all things depraved. She puts up a pretty good token effort and I loved that she did at least try to fight him vs. the norm of "Oh well. He's bigger than me, so I'll submit." I love a fighter. Even when she loses, which she does most of the time.
Her sweetheart can't get to her to help her escape, but sees her when he does try and is upset by her enjoying the depraved things her intended does to her.
That's probably enough spoilers, but I loved it and it's strong subject matter even for romantica. More like erotica used to be.
I liked her other books as well.

This young woman's introduction to every form of debauchery & BDSM is quite explicit & scintillating; her most important lesson to learn is that trust & dominence are better bedfellows than cruelty & dominence.
