another good book. Koontz mates the horror novel w/police procedural and makes it work. A police officer is haunted by voodoo demons who are after his kids and it is snowing too.

An older boo,1984, written under a different name when Koontz was first starting, then recently rereleased. The book keeps you reading. The premise is very interesting. A good read.

This is one of my favorite Dean Koontz books. The other is Twilight Eyes. Dean Koontz's mind must be filled with all sorts of weird and strange thoughts for him to come up with this stuff so consistently! This is a great read and will have you looking in the vents and under your car from now on!

I just finished DarkFall and I loved it. This is one of those novels, that are short, sweet and to the point. No lag time in this novel, we are moving and a shaking.
In D.F. we are dealing with a Voodoo vendetta against a Mafia Drug family, by a Haitian drug dealer who wants revenge for the death of his brother. How he kills his victims is very interesting, sending out an army of goblin like creatures with large claws that are virtually indestructable.
The police officer assigned to the case gets involved and the Voodoo army turns thier sights on to his family. With that being said, the chase is on. The last 3rd of the novel is pure chase and breakneck speed, and it is fun to follow along.

"Darkfall" follows two cops, Jack and Rebecca (who inevitably fall in love, as examplified in a rather startling and explicit sex scene near the end of the book) who are hot on the tail of a mysterious Hatian named Baba Lavelle, a black magician who uses disgusting hellish creatures to do his evil bidding. As Jack intrudes on Lavelle's opperations, his two children become the evil man's next target.

This book sucks you in from the beginning and you won't want to put it down. It's full of suspense. I was reading it at my desk during my lunch break and someone came up behind me and I actually jumped because I was startled and so lost in this book. I am not the scary type at all - but it just goes to show how much this books sucks you in. A very good read.

Once again another great Novel by Dean Koontz. If you like his novels you will not be disappointed. If you have never read any of his novels you most certainly are in for a treat.

Not the best Koontz has written but this being one of his earlier works, it still grabs you and keeps you enthralled in the book. It is a typical story of good and evil. It has an original tale though. Mixes voodoo, mafia, demons, love, and purity of heart.

An older book by Koontz but still pretty good. It picks up fast, has a good amount of suspense, and it's a fairly quick read.

CLassic "Killer-through-the-narow-vent" type mystery with the kind of twist that makes you glad the author doesn't live near you...

Exciting and well written, but involving demons and spiritism. I needed to read something else before I turned off the lights to go to sleep.

From Back Cover:
They found four corpses in four days. Each more hideously disfigured than the last, the bodies punctured with dozens of tiny wounds. At first they thought it was psychopath. Then they thought it was a vicious gangland war. Then they thought packs of demonic rats were escaping through the ventilation system. Then they saw the nightmare itself, in all its mottled, slimy horror, coming after them from every direction, and they realized that the Gates of Hell had been left open.

STRANGE DAYS
Winter gripped the city. Terror gripped it, too. They found four corpses in four days, each more hideous than the last.

STRANGE NIGHTS
At first the cops thought they were dealing with a psychopath. But soon they heard eerie sounds in the ventilation system. And saw unearthly silver eyes in the snow slashed night.

FINAL HOURS
In a city paralyzed by a blizzard, something watches, something stalks...
