A very excellent biography of the Christian doctor, author, Minister of Christianity and explorer DR David Livingstone who was the first white man to enter deep into Africa Until I read this biography I knew almost nothing about David Livingstone. This book is condensed and in a few minutes you can ;earn a lot about a great man. Did you know that many of the maps of interior Africa were made by Dr David Livingstone.? This book also describes the terrain, Diseases and habits of 19th century Africa. Dr Livingstone although a Christian doctor and minister was an excellent writer and mapmaker. Although, white men were the outlying areas of Africa, most treated the native Africans badly, abused and persecuted them. DR Livingstone was very respectful of their customs. He was offered a position by the british in the African Government which he refused because he wanted to teach the Africans the gospel and treat their medical conditions.
