I started this series with the second book, The Misted Cliffs. I really liked that book and was excited to find that it was part of a series. I never read the first book, The Charmed Sphere, because the story I was interested in started in The Misted Cliffs. Well, I should have known…

The Dawn Star is slow to start, and does not focus on the plot from The Misted Cliffs, branching off with new characters and a totally new plot. Yes, it still has the characters from The Misted Cliffs but they take a back seat. I quickly lost interest and decided to not finish reading after struggling through the first half of the book.

Romance is flat, descriptions long and strange and story drags. I am moving onto another series and have no intention of ever returning to this one.

Book three in this trilogy, from the LUNA division of Harlequin. Lots of mathiness, particularly geometry. Recommend.
