This first person narrative by a successful Hollywood screen and television writer chronicles her treatment by a psychologist over about a year. During this time, she becomes more and more dependent on him. He convinces her to pay for extensive future treatment so they can "forget about money" and just concentrate on her getting better. When he is supposedly murdered she goes on a quest to learn about this person and herself. It is a fascinating read.

Wow, I guess I am lucky that I am so cynical. The odds of my being taken by a con artist are slim to none. The things Jennifer's therapist did to her and asked of her were so outlandish I can't believe she was taken in by him. This was a very interesting read and is on my keeper shelf.

One of the best psychological thrillers I have ever read. And it is true!!! I could not put it down. I loved it so much, I got a few extra copies for my friends because I can't part with it.

A horrific novel about a woman who puts all her trust and money into a therapist.

After reading this novel, you wonder how much you can trust a therapist to the full extent.

Or should they be known as the-RAPIST.
