Great new addition to the "Home Repair is Homicide" series. MC, Jake Tiptree, seems to have a knack for falling into trouble, or trouble finding her. Her husband Wade bet her that she could not finish a deck addition to their cottage on a lake inland from Eastport. $100.00 bet. So Jake is followed out to the cabin (translation in Maine-speak - upta camp)by her best friend, Ellie, and the plan is for Ellie to leave after spending a few hours with Jake. After the first body is found, Ellie decides she is not leaving Jake alone, then the real "fun" begins......... You won't be able to put this one down.

It has been awhile since I read one of these so that may have colored my view but I didn't really think of this as a mystery since the reader knew everything that was going on--the whole time--no real suspense as you know that Graves is not going to kill off any of her main characters, so it was really an exercise to see how they would each get out of their predicament. Also, the number and severity of each predicament was a bit hard to believe. If the rest are going to be like this, I may have finished this series.
