This entire series is really great. Diane Fallon is a great character; very strong , yet very human as well. It is really refreshing to read about a woman who is not ever pictured, in any version of, wringing her hands. One caveat: Don't read the most recent in the series first( I can't remember the exact title so you will have to check the publication dates), other than that ,these books do not have to be read in order.
This is the third in Connor’s Diane Fallon series. Diane is a forensic anthropologist who wears two hats – one as a museum director and the other running the town’s crime lab. Connor manages to put in interesting information about various subjects in ways that don't feel like lectures, which I like. In DEAD SECRET, Diane finds an old skeleton while exploring an unmapped cave, and determines the person was murdered. The discovery of two bodies in a sunken car from the same time period as the skeleton complicates the picture. Someone, however, would like the past to stay secret. This is a nice fast read, with some fun twists.
