This was a very good read. It also shows how methodical and thorough police work and law enforcement involvement solves cases. In what can only be described as "poetic justice", this story includes a husband who puts out a hit on his wife, only to have his hit man kill him, too.

Greed...the doctor didn't want to divorce the wife he no longer loved, claimed he hated, he might lose some of his $$ so he wanted her killed. He got more than he bargained for. Mistress confesses to her part in the scheme but everything she tells the police is thrown out by the judge. Looks like a skimpy case going into court. Battered Women's Syndrome....testified to in court by expert who examined the defendant but it didn't mitigate the circumstances for the jury. Some interesting alternative scenarios at the end of the book to keep you wondering. Really captures your attention and you learn some legal points of law.
