Alright so someone wants to take my 3 for 1 deal I offered in the BB. They are ordering one book and then selected 1 more book from my shelf and want both unpostables. So technically they'd get 4 for 1. Would it be bad to ask that she only take one of the unpostables as part of her deal? I did say they were included, but I didn't mean as add ons like normally stated "1 free with any order." So it's like she's adding the fourth book on under the guise of it being an unpostable.

Just curious what would be considered fair.

Thanks!

ETA: Ugh, I'm so stupid. I realize now what happened. She didn't think it was an unpostable because I accidentally listed it on my shelf somehow. Someone else wanting it made me realize it. So she was/is being fair by taking just one unpostable with her order.

Hi Amee,

If this makes the shipping cost prohibitive, I would pm her and explain this.  I would offer her the chance to cancel the deal if she felt it wasn't worth it for only the 3 books since you sig. line made it a little unclear.  Might change you sig. line to read, this offer does not apply to deals. Hope your able to get this worked out to the satisfaction of both of you.

Nancy

Thanks guys.

I'll send her all 4. It feels like she's taking advantage a bit, but I guess that's my fault.

I dont 'think she's taking advantage if your unpostable freebie offer didn't exclude deals.  It's your job to figure out what you are willing to send under deals to cover postage before you offer the deal.

IMO, if you don't want to combine deals, then don't. Tell her she can have the 3 for 1 OR 1 free unpostable with order, only one deal per credit order. It surprises me that people think that a free unpostable with order deal can be added on to an order already getting a different deal.

See that's what I thought.

I guess that's where the confusion came into play.

Oh well, it is my first time offering a deal in the BB so it's a lesson learned.

I can just post some WL books in one of the WL  threads to recoup the extra postage it will cost to mail all four books (it feels a lot heavier than another package I also have going out) instead of posting them FIFO. It will all eventually even out.
