Can anybody tell me which Dean Koontz book has a villain making sculptures out of sand that come to life? A customer recommended this book to me but couldn't remember the name.

I looked thru my collection of Koontz books (55) and none of them has sand sculptures coming to life. One does have a cloth doll filled with sand that comes to life which is TickTock.  Sorry I could'nt be more help. ( I'd like to know the name too so I could add it to my collection)

What about Dragon Tears?  I think that had wind whipping leaves and sand up into things.  I really enjoy his early stuff best.  Watchers, phantoms, house of thunder are my favorites.  Good luck.
