American pianist and lounge entertainer Trudi Kane has come to England to work for the Season. The lovely holiday town is overshadowed by violence done a year ago-on the last August Bank Holiday. As the first anniversary of that horrible time comes around, the town seems doomed to once again suffer senseless violence. Trudi and the other residents of the "performers' boarding house" try to prevent the worst from happening, but are they too late?
