Second in the series. Better than the first. This one seemed well thought out, had more attention to detail and the characters were failry well formed. Still, Wald (aka Nora Charles) is inconsistent with her writing so some spots were lacking in substance.

Protagonist here is a ghostwriter, with lots of colorful friends, a mother who runs a New Age bookstore and a romantic interest in a cop.
The story line is involved and a bit hard to follow, but the writer does wrap it up at the end.
This writer has another newer series featuring a retired woman in FL that she writes under the name Nora Charles.
