I have to start out by letting you know I loved the first two books. This one... not so much. I still enjoyed it. It was almost as fast paced as the first two but not quite. I did struggle with picking it up at times. It delves more on the outside world and what is going on in the cities and such. I found that to be interesting. I guess the biggest downfall for me was when it ended I really didn't feel any closure. A big portion of the group got their memories back. That, to me, should have been a good amount of the book. There was something so terrifying about getting them back that they struggled with it. If you got stung by a Griever in the first book the memories made you mad. But after they got their memories back it was... nothing. We also never seem to learn much about Thomas's past. Why was he so gung-ho for WICKED in the beginning? Did he know something important then that he doesn't know now? Most of the explanation for everything that happened since the sun flares seemed to be summed up in the 2 page epilogue. Not enough for me. I personally wanted more. I think this book should have spent more time explaining things than all the action and running from here to there. Other than that it was a good book and look forward to more books by Dashner.
