Search - Death and the Delinquent

A Colorado ranch woman who has solved several murders in her own backyard journeys to New Mexico to help with another. Good, solid writing; interesting characters, good puzzle. My copy says it's by B.J. Oliphant, who is really Sherri S. Tepper, who also has written as A.J. Orde. All of her books are good.

Sheri Tepper is one of my favorite authors (even as B.J.Oliphant!) and her mystery writing is no exception. My only issue is with the cover art - I don't like it (so I just get over it).

Mystery featuring amateur detective Shirley McClintock. Author B.J. Oliphant is a pseudonym for the sci fi/fantasy writer Sheri Tepper.

"Cosy" with a difference - family group of unrelated persons, setting in southwest, lots of great characterization and interesting situations. Tepper is B.J. Oliphant, who is listed as author on this book.
