This was the first book I read in this series. I did like it very much, in spite of the fact that the series is very dated, and sometimes politically incorrect. You have to remember that the books were written in the 30's when minds were more closed. Having said that, the puzzle was really classic and very good. I would read more of these and just overlook the historical close-mindedness.
With flair and panache, Asey Mayo solves another mystery on Cape Cod.

A lot of servants, business men, Cape Cod neighbors and an unknown young lady are all caught together during a blizzard in a rich man's home. Asey Mayo, the Cape Cod new sheriff is there along with the local doctor when the rich home owner is murdered. Snowbound together, Mayo has a group of suspects to investigate. This was written before WWII, so keep that in mind and the references to a life in pre-world war America will make sense. I never did guess the killer either.
