Lill Hodsden had a lack of morals. Her mother was mad at her. Her steady lover was sick of being blackmailed. Her neighbors wanted to get even with her. Her daughter's boyfriend would do anything to stop her from reporting him to immigration authorities. Her son wanted to put an end to her overbearing ways. The townspeople wanted to give the killer a metal so Chief Insp. McHale was stumped.
Another great Bernard mystery.
