"It is Kit's personal involvement with his investigation of the nursing home racket that really turns the emotional screws on this story." NY Times. This is a surprisingly tender story of a private investigator who is also a suburbanite dad and faces his own father's mortality.
The Suburban Detective is involved from the beginning, as his friend of many years is suddenly taken into a nursing home - with little chance of recovery and a great chance of harm as things in the nursing home progress to murder. Great read!
