Not quite as good as the first book ("Death's Head"), but still very enjoyable. Plenty of fighting and plenty of cool weapons and tactics.
(Spoiler): Some interesting twists... how often does one get to hook up with a fellow soldier, stab them in the heart (literally), then later get another chance?
Memorable characters who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. The intelligent sidearm, as usual, is my favorite here.
Our irreverant protaganist seems a bit too-indestructible, but you'll root for him anyway.
